A collection of private and commissioned work by New York-based illustrator Xiao Hua Yang. Yang’s work centres on quiet, in-between moments. Typically grounded in on a regular basis settings with refined shifts in ambiance, Yang explores acquainted areas that really feel barely international or at a distance.
“I usually introduce refined shifts in lighting and color to recommend a narrative that is still ambiguous and open to interpretation. The pictures are usually not a lot about what I need the viewers to see, however about what they uncover for themselves inside them.
