This week’s New Music Friday appears like a return to the MMG period with new choices from Wale, Meek Mill and Rick Ross (though not collectively, sadly).

After a four-year wait, Folarin is again along with his eighth album (and first on Def Jam) The whole lot Is A Lot, which showcases his inventive vary and eclectic music style with options from Leon Thomas, Shaboozey, BNYX and others.

Meek additionally continues to navigate life after MMG by dropping the aptly-titled Indie Pack (Vol. 01), a four-track EP that includes a sole appearances from Fridayy and launched by his personal Dreamchasers imprint.

Rozay, in the meantime, rides shotgun on Kevin Gates‘ “I’m a Canine (Remix),” which finds him spitting a complete new verse on his and Meek’s traditional “I’m a Boss” beat. 14 years later, the Greatest Bawse continues to be doin’ it huge.

Elsewhere, De La Soul reunite with Q-Tip on the most recent single from their upcoming album Cabin within the Sky, Cardi B faucets Jeezy for a snow-capped remix of “ErrTime” (which could as nicely have been a Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 leftover), and Lil Child continues The Leak$ rollout with one more hard-hitting loosie.

Different highlights embrace a shock joint album between Baton Rouge bullies Boosie Badazz and NBA YoungBoy, Summer time Walker‘s star-studded new venture and not-to-be-slept-on efforts from Boldy James and Navy Blue.
