A sequence based mostly round years spent in Tbilisi, Georgia by Belgrade-based photographer and artist Ksenia Mikhailova. Initially from Russia, Mikhailova moved to Georgia due to the struggle, staying for 2 and a half years. “Large Cherry” is a diaristic document of that point, the title drawing from New York’s “Large Apple” and the sense that Tbilisi had develop into a spot drawing individuals in from in every single place for various causes:
“Rented residences and individuals who lived in them, small objects from atypical days, the lengthy stretch of hours between leaving one house and arriving someplace that isn’t house but. A lot of it’s ready and the silent, uneventful work of detaching from the bottom one used to face on, with nothing stable but beneath…. Georgians, college students from Nigeria and India, Russians, my accomplice and me. All of us passing by means of and on the lookout for someplace to land.”
