1000’s of handmade ceramic tiles nest collectively like a puzzle on the facade of the Torre San Luis resort in Guadalajara, Mexico. Summary shapes evocative of a lush backyard ecosystem burst throughout the out of doors wall in a collaboration between Alex Proba and the artisans of Cerámica Suro.
Titled “Form of Motion,” the large-scale public work melds Proba’s natural visible language with a shade palette that displays the native surroundings. Earthy neutrals, alongside dusty pinks and blues, mimic the sun-drenched panorama, whereas the dynamic kinds seem as in the event that they’re mid-motion.

“The work is concerning the motion we stock via areas every single day,” Proba shares. “I wished the mural to really feel as if the shapes are interacting with each other and flowing via the structure itself.”
