APM Restaurant Group is increasing its presence in West Palm Seashore with Niwa, a Japanese restaurant and tea backyard opening in West Palm Seashore’s Flamingo Park neighborhood, immediately throughout the road from Emelina, APM’s Michelin-starred Cuban restaurant.
Niwa, which suggests “backyard” in Japanese, will mark the primary collaboration between two cooks from Michelin-starred eating places: Grasp sushi chef Masayuki Komatsu of Ogawa and Emelina govt chef Osmel Gonzalez. Emelina grew to become the primary Cuban restaurant to obtain a Michelin star when Florida’s 2025 Michelin choices have been introduced earlier this yr. These two seasoned professionals will mix their culinary abilities to create dishes that marry Latin flavors with Japanese methods.
Highlights of the restaurant embody fish imported from Tokyo’s Toyosu fish market and a tea program developed in partnership with Miami-based JoJo Tea. The menu will embody nigiri, hand rolls, uncooked preparations, donburi, and sizzling dishes.
Niwa. 523 Park Place, West Palm Seashore; aplrestauratgroup.com. Opening October 2026.
