Bang & Olufsen has launched the Atelier Restricted Version Artwork Deco, a placing new sound system that reimagines the model’s iconic Beolab 28 audio system and Beovision Theatre by the lens of Artwork Deco – the defining aesthetic of the Twenties and the last decade of Bang & Olufsen’s founding.
“This version is a tribute to our origins and our journey,” says Bang & Olufsen CEO Kristian Teär. “It’s a fusion of design heritage and technical mastery, crafted to rejoice 100 years of innovation by timeless kind,” he continues.
With the identical sculptural class and refined particulars that made Artwork Deco a permanent icon, the Atelier Restricted Version Artwork Deco pays homage to a century of design excellence and acoustic craftsmanship by drawing on Artwork Deco’s daring geometry, wealthy materiality, and beautiful craftsmanship. Restricted to simply 100 items globally, this launch marks a uncommon convergence of efficiency and artistry.
Crafted from darkish rosewood and anodised in chestnut aluminium, the system showcases alternating lamella panels in tapered wooden and straight aluminium, evoking the rhythmic facade of traditional Artwork Deco structure. An identical rosewood case handcrafted at Bang & Olufsen’s headquarters in Struer homes the engraved Beoremote, completed in chestnut aluminium and certificates of authenticity. The aluminium surfaces characteristic a precision-etched geometric motif mixing trendy machining with traditional ornamentation. Hidden inside the sample, 100 engraved strokes subtly commemorate annually of Bang & Olufsen’s legacy.
The eye to element and tactility continues with Beosound Theatre’s newly launched wood high cowl, sculpted in a radial sample impressed by Artwork Deco sunburst motifs. Past its visible class, the quilt enhances acoustic transparency, exemplifying Bang & Olufsen’s dedication to harmonising kind and performance. The Beolab 28’s floating acoustic lens, encircled by a finely detailed radial ring, anchors the system as a sculptural centrepiece.
