In Autophagia, Rhys Edwards explores the unstable relationship between photos and actuality by means of up to date still-life portray. Drawing connections between Dutch Golden Age floral work and at this time’s AI-generated imagery, his work combines objects and flowers painted from life with discovered pictures and AI-generated fragments to look at how photos are created, reproduced, and reworked.
