A collection of collage work by artist Candace Caston. Born in Louisiana and at the moment primarily based in Georgia, Caston obtained her BFA from the Savannah School of Artwork and Design in Atlanta. Caston makes use of primarily water-based media to discover the reminiscence of place, her works appearing as an intimate archive of remembered areas from each her goals and lived expertise:
“Eyes look by way of the blinds in the direction of the neighborhood, as the warmth from exterior seeps into the inside. I recall this as I replicate on the house I grew up in. Reminiscences are captured within the home windows, objects, and preparations of a room or exterior house. They’re evoked by small particulars–the furnishings, the climate exterior, how the sunshine strikes by way of and round the home, or the shapes the blinds make as you half them to peek out. In reflecting on moments of solitude, seemingly small scenes turn out to be important.”
