Boy Harsher, the darkwave digital duo of vocalist Jae Matthews and producer Augustus Muller, are taking pictures a function movie, and so they’ve tapped a couple of putting musicians to affix the solid. The film, dubbed The Lonely Lady, reportedly stars FKA twigs, Sturgill Simpson, Will Oldham AKA Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Jake Weary, and Chloë Sevigny, amongst others.
The Lonely Lady is billed as “a bleak, sensual, and atmospheric horror-thriller” that includes a rating by Boy Harsher themselves. Hunter Zimny is the film’s director of pictures, whereas Madeline Sadowski (Good Time, Chappell Roan’s “The Subway”) is the manufacturing designer.
Per Deadline, The Lonely Lady is about in rural New England and follows a lady who was marked by the loss of life of her old flame in a mountain tunnel. As she’s drawn into the thriller of a brand new disappearance, she begins confronting a seductive and terrifying presence buried beneath the city.
This isn’t Boy Harsher’s first foray into the world of cinema. The duo penned the soundtrack to the 2022 brief movie The Runner, and green-lit their music “Ache” to seem in Terrifier 2 as nicely. Nevertheless, The Lonely Lady is Boy Harsher’s first time directing a film. Their most up-to-date full-length album, Cautious, got here out in 2019.
