A number of latest work by Detroit-based artist Carson Monahan. Monahan takes seemingly abnormal moments and infuses them with an otherworldly presence, heightening actuality and blurring the boundaries between the bodily and the non secular. Symbolism, notably animal figures, seem all through, emphasizing the stress between pure intuition and sudden or mysterious occurrences that decision our human instinct and consciousness into query.
