Jack White has known as out US President Donald Trump for his weird, self-serving and massively insensitive response to the tragic homicide of movie director Rob Reiner and his spouse Michele Singer.
As tributes poured in for the much-loved film-maker – whose credit embody This Is Spinal Faucet, When Harry Met Sally, Distress, Stand By Me and A Few Good Males, Trump shared his ideas on the killings on his personal Reality Social platform. and could not resist making an attempt to use the tragedy to attain political factors, enhance his personal ego, and implied that, because of the director criticising his Presidency prior to now, he could have someway provoked a response from individuals unknown. [This was before news emerged that Reiner’s son Nick had been arrested in connection with the kilings]
The couple, he wrote, had “handed away”, as a result of “the anger he [Reiner] brought on others by way of his huge, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a thoughts crippling illness referred to as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME… He was identified to have pushed folks CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump.”
Requested a member of the press if this was an acceptable response to a double homicide, Trump selected to not retract his assertion, and stated that Reiner was “very unhealthy for our nation”.
Jack White was clearly incensed by Trump’s feedback.
“Trump you disgusting, vile, egomaniac loser, little one,” he posted. “Neither he nor any one in all his followers can defend this gross, horrible insult to a wonderful artist who gave the world a lot. To make use of somebody’s tragic demise to advertise your individual self-importance and fascist authoritarian agenda is a corrupt and narcissistic sin. Disgrace on you trump and anybody who defends this.
“God bless you Rob Reiner and thanks for what you gave the world,” White concluded. “I by no means even met you and I nonetheless stand by you.”
Testomony guitarist Alex Skolnick was among the many musicians who expressed help for White’s assertion.
