David Zwirner is happy to announce The Final Dyes, an exhibition of latest dye-transfer prints by William Eggleston opening on the gallery’s 533 West nineteenth Road location in New York, which follows its 2024–2025 presentation on the 606 N Western Avenue location in Los Angeles. Eggleston pioneered using dye-transfer printing for artwork pictures within the Seventies, and—because the title suggests—these images are the ultimate prints ever made from Eggleston’s photos utilizing this analog course of. The presentation itself constitutes the final main group of images ever to be produced utilizing this printing technique, making it a novel alternative to see a lot of works by Eggleston within the format through which he initially offered them.
