TV Star’s ’90s-as-hell alt-coded pop-rock is immensely interesting. When you’ve heard the Seattle/Tacoma band’s latest singles from debut album Music For Heads, oh, you already know. And if you have not checked out the band but, the epiphany can be all yours once you press play on their new video.
“The Bundle” is a dreamy midtempo track, form of ballad-adjacent, touchdown someplace between Pearl Jam (these Hendrix-y lead components!) and Teenage Fanclub (these jangling chords and arpeggios!). There’s perhaps some “Champagne Supernova” in there too, minus the bombast? And Ash Nagel’s gently commanding vocal efficiency seals the deal.
“The track I imagine was the final that we wrote forward of recording however ended up setting the tone for your complete file,” guitarist Che Hise-Gattone notes. “That is additionally the track that everybody was crying within the studio when Ash was recording vocals.” Watch under.
