Thundercat is again with two new songs, ‘I Want I Didn’t Waste Your Time’ and a Remi Wolf collab referred to as ‘Youngsters of the Baked Potato’. Greg Kurstin labored on each songs, which mark Thundercat’s first correct new music in two years. Take a pay attention under.
‘I Want I Didn’t Waste Your Time’ is a clean slice of R&B with significantly wistful lyrics, whereas ‘Youngsters of the Baked Potato’ is as playful because the title suggests. (It takes its title from a beloved Los Angeles jazz membership that solely serves baked potatoes. “[Remi is] a baby of the Baked Potato like me,” Thundercat stated in a press launch. “She knew precisely what the tune wanted. And it was wild to look at her make it occur. The extra I hearken to the tune, it’s clear there was nobody higher I may have picked.”
Although he hasn’t launched an album since 2020’s It Is What It Is, Thundercat has stored busy, collaborating with acts like Justice, Tame Impala, Gorillaz, Silk Sonic, and extra.
