A sequence documenting individuals at marches, rallies, and Delight gatherings throughout america by Brooklyn-based photographer Stas Ginzburg. Ginzburg is a queer refugee from Russia whose work centres on LGBTQIA+ communities and activism. For the previous 5 years, he has been taking portraits of queer, trans, and gender-nonconforming individuals. The ensuing sequence accommodates over 100 portraits of LGBTQIA+ people offered in simple but intentional compositions that embody visibility, defiance, and authenticity. Collectively, these photographs kind a dwelling archive—a report of a group on the threshold of profound political and cultural shifts. As queer and trans lives face renewed threats of legislative erasure and structural violence, this work holds house as each witness and counter-narrative, preserving a lineage of activism and radical presence inside areas of public dissent.
