EKO33 is the artistic pseudonym of Jean-Jacques Duclaux, a French generative art pioneer with roots in computer science.

Since the 1990s, he has been programming art, beginning with algorithmic images created on a Commodore computer and floppy disks in 1999. EKO33’s evolving practice now fuses custom code, self-trained AI models, and neural networks to produce abstract works that balance geometric structure with organic unpredictability. His vibrant, swirling compositions challenge viewers to rethink the boundaries between human imagination and machine-driven processes. Internationally acclaimed, EKO33 has exhibited at major venues including Art Basel, the Venice Biennale’s digital showcase, and top European galleries. In 2024, his solo show Latent Ink at Fellowship’s London gallery presented 500 unique works, blending AI, generative algorithms, and physical plotter drawings, underscoring his role as a leader in both digital and blockchain-based art.
