Flying Lotus has introduced a brand new EP, Huge Mama. The seven-song effort arrives on March 6, marking his first launch on his personal label, Brainfeeder. It’ll be accompanied by a brief movie. Take a look at a teaser for it beneath.
Flying Lotus made Huge Mama in New Zealand whereas engaged on his debut movie, Ash, which premieres March 21. “I needed it to really feel like being shot out of a cannon, simply explosive, unpredictable power,” he defined. “Like a fuckin’ pc gone awry. Like a machine that had simply misplaced its thoughts…”
“I needed it to be free and really feel alive,” he continued. “I feel that was an enormous intention of mine with this file, simply to consider it extra like sound design and make one thing that felt unpredictable and maximal. As we get into a spot the place tracks have gotten extra “good” and issues have gotten extra sterile, I wish to attempt to hold it attention-grabbing and attempt to hold bringing in issues which might be uniquely human to digital music, which is, you already know, changing into tougher I suppose.”
