Meet Texas-born singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Olēka.

An artist who not solely deserves your consideration however will go away you genuinely thrilled that one other girl in different rock is out right here doing her rattling factor.

Olēka not too long ago launched her 10-track debut album, Human Error, by way of Quadeca’s x8 Music, delivering a challenge that is as emotionally susceptible as it’s sonically commanding, made all of the extra spectacular by the truth that she wrote, composed, and produced it completely herself.

Olēka possesses the type of voice that carries the tenderness and melodic heat of Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson, however pair that with grungy guitar riffs and the uncooked, unpolished spirit of ’90s different rock, and you have got an intriguing sonic mixture that is laborious to show away from.

Spanning 10 tracks, Human Error rocks laborious, marrying moments of delicate introspection with gritty instrumentation and balancing emotional vulnerability with an unapologetic edge. It is a report that lyrically embraces the messiness of being human, discovering magnificence within the imperfections, errors, and contradictions that form us.

As Olēka places it, “I actually wished to discover my very own insecurities and faults. A part of being human is making errors. It may be stunning, and it may be horrible, however these are the moments that make up our lives.”

The album unfolds like a sonic odyssey, transferring between moments of profound lyrical introspection, headbanging depth, and passages that go away you in awe of Olēka’s pristine vocals.

Opening observe “Meta Cognition” units the tone with a minimalist association that invitations listeners to lean in, permitting Olēka’s vocal magnificence to take heart stage.

On the next observe, “Need To Discover It,” floaty harmonies and the haunting lyrical chorus, “determine what issues with you,” drift above an anchoring guitar development, steadily swelling into one thing deeply affecting.

The title observe is one other standout, pairing distorted guitars and skittering breakbeats with a vocal melody that twists, bends, and takes listeners on an surprising journey. In the meantime, “Someplace Out of Attain” feels superbly cinematic, expansive in its association, and unafraid to take up area.

Greatest skilled in full, Human Error showcases the prowess of an artist sensible past her years, with a voice that may appear nearly too angelic for rock. But it is exactly that distinction between Olēka’s ethereal vocals and the style’s grittier edges that makes the mixture so compelling.
