There’s about to be another excuse to linger alongside Fort Lauderdale’s New River.
Sweetwaters is slated to open this fall contained in the newly reimagined Huizenga Park, bringing waterfront eating, cocktails and loads of outside house to downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The restaurant comes from the family-owned hospitality group behind Miami’s longtime waterfront favourite, Rusty Pelican. Count on a chef-driven menu impressed by South Florida’s coastal flavors, together with cocktails made for sipping whereas watching the boats go by.
Sweetwaters will take advantage of its location with riverfront terraces, open-air patios and downtown skyline views.The restaurant can also be a simple stroll from Riverwalk and the Brightline station, making it a handy cease whether or not you’re heading downtown for dinner, glad hour or only a waterside cocktail.
