In 2019, the Spook College broke up. Now, the Scottish indie-pop band is reuniting to launch a brand new report titled Like A Heartbeat. The lead single “Falling” is out as we speak.
“We actually wished to ensure we got here again feeling pressing and energized,” Nye Todd says. “We did not need individuals to hear and assume ‘oh they’ve had a break, they seem to be a bit older, mellower and chilled out now.’ We wished to go 100mph and get caught into individuals’s ears.”
The group cites Radioactivity, the Beths, Alvvays, Swearin’, and Unhealthy Strikes as influences for his or her newest writing. Like A Heartbeat was recorded with Rod Jones of Idlewild at his Publish Electrical Studio in Leith, Edinburgh. Hear “Falling” beneath.
