A brand new collection of works by artist and illustrator Lou Benesch. Her creative apply grew from a basis of mixing cultures, after spending her childhood between France and America. Benesch affinity for nature and people tales may be seen in her enchanted mixture of vegetation, animals, anatomy, and mythological creatures. In her newest solo exhibition, “The Magician’s Room”, Benesch attracts inspiration from desires and tarot playing cards, particularly the trickster Magician. The bodily and religious converge as Benesch transforms discovered vintage objects into portals, revealing the intimate interiors or “rooms” of the creatures that inhabit the Magician’s world.
