“Townies” by Wednesday — that is track. The finest track of 2025, in actual fact. Townies, a Los Angeles-via-Boston emo band, tweeted shortly after the Bleeds launch, “Wait til they hear Wednesday by Townies.” Now, they’ve lastly delivered on that promise.
The group launched “Wednesday” on — in fact — Wednesday (Aug. 12). It is a rambunctious emo anthem with all the standard emo issues: somebody’s in over his head, guts are being spilled, dudes are hanging by their neckties (I suppose that is not too typical). It was recorded with producer Billy Mannino, who’s labored with acts like Oso Oso and Macseal. Watch the accompanying music video directed by Zach Miller under.
