London-based songwriter and producer Khalid Al Khajah has launched his debut solo single. “After the Rain” is a sneak peek at his upcoming EP set to launch later this 12 months. Impressed by listening to hours of R&B and Pop music from the again seat of his mother and father’ automobile, Khalid has developed a fantastic mix of genres in his manufacturing model.

Khalid shared the next about his new single:

‘”After The Rain’ is about an imagined reunion with a former flame after time aside, reflecting on what it might really be like to fulfill once more. It explores nostalgia, reflection and the concept of getting closure over time.”

The observe opens with delicate crackling, like beginning up a favourite vinyl or tuning into an outdated speaker. The sound is nostalgic for music lovers and offers the piece an introspective really feel, establishing a mellow tone. Lush electrical guitar opens the observe with gradual picked and strummed chords, setting the stage for the primary verse.

“I didn’t know that you just’d be right here tonight / However I knew ya, knew you would possibly,” Dulcet vocals sweep over the observe with a fantastic, lilting melody. Vocalizations will be heard within the background, including extra texture to the sonic panorama. The electrical guitar takes on a jazzy really feel, with prospers in all the proper locations.

“Wouldn’t it’s good to take a stroll / After the rain is gone?” As Khalid sings out, the observe slowly builds, strings maintain within the background, supporting the melodic line because it intertwines with the guitar. Muted bass emerges and pushes the piece alongside, giving it a chill groove to maintain the tempo. Because the strings crescendo, the piece feels as if it is rising to fulfill the emotional build-up created by the artist.

A delicate percussive rhythm emerges in direction of the top of the observe, including one other layer to the manufacturing. It softly dissolves because the mild strum of a chord sounds and the observe slowly fades out to crackling as soon as extra.
