Lyles & King presents new work by Kate Meissner in our challenge area, on view by April 4. Kate Meissner writes: “These works are an exploration of the human physique’s elasticity and capability to metamorphose. Knowledgeable by my very own expertise of being pregnant and the start of my first baby final yr, these work are a meditation on physiological transformation and the physique’s underlying animalistic and mammalian nature.”
Kate Meissner (b. 1995, Sacramento, CA) lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. Her work is within the everlasting collections of Denver Artwork Museum, Denver, CO; Xiao Museum of Modern Artwork, Rizhao, CN; The Mer Assortment, Madrid, ES; and Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visible Arts, Birmingham, US. She obtained her MFA from Yale College. Meissner is represented by Lyles & King, New York.
