A choice of new work from photographer and printmaker Reave Dennison. Dennison paperwork maritime and forestry labour in British Columbia. “Tree Work” presents pictures taken over the previous 5 years whereas Dennison labored as a log salvor and arborist. The 29 silver gelatin prints painting the environments, individuals, tradition, and technical craft of labour related to residing within the Pacific Northwest. The challenge shall be on show at Pale Hearth (870 East Broadway, Vancouver) beginning March nineteenth. Pale Hearth may even launch Dennison’s first pictures guide, Below 60 Tons. Co-designed and co-produced with Data Workplace, the guide options over 90 tritone pictures that Dennison took whereas working as a crew member aboard small, versatile tugboats, that are labeled as “underneath 60 gross tons.” Below 60 Tons is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, British Columbia Arts Council, John & Helen O’Brian, Jane Irwin & Ross Hill, and Claudia Beck. “Tree Work” runs till Could 9.
