12 years after he took a capsule in Ibiza to indicate Avicii he was cool, Posner is returning to the tune’s lyrics with a sober, remodeled perspective.

Mike Posner is closing the loop on probably the most unlikely dance anthems of the 2010s, ‘I Took a Capsule In Ibiza.’

The chart-topping artist has introduced his new single, ‘I Went Again to Ibiza.’ Due out in early March, the monitor is a full lyrical rewrite of ‘I Took a Capsule In Ibiza,’ the confessional anthem he wrote on his twenty sixth birthday that famously talked about the late Avicii.

The place the unique monitor documented disillusionment, the sequel is positioned as a return to the identical setting with a distinct inside compass.

“Twelve years later, I really feel proud to look to have a look at the lyrics of THAT tune and know that NONE of them are true anymore,” he wrote. “I’ve grown into a totally new man…one which I’m happy with.”

That transformation is a part of why the sequel lands with additional emphasis, particularly in EDM tradition.
