
Jessica Silverman is delighted to current The Eighth Coloration by Rupy C. Tut, a solo exhibition of work on linen and handmade paper that explores cultural historical past, female company, and ecological dreamlands. A polyglot who speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and Spanish, Tut usually displays on the expertise of migration and the psychology of diaspora. The exhibition’s title pays homage to one among Tut’s heroes, pioneering poet Amrita Pritam, who describes “the eighth colour of affection” as a religious ardour for the equality of humankind as a complete. The exhibition, working by way of December 20, is Tut’s second with Jessica Silverman and first in the principle area.
