Hailing from Memphis, Southern Avenue is a band named for the road that runs by way of the middle of town. It is also the place you will discover legendary Stax Data, who launched the four-piece’s debut in 2017.
The group options Tierinii, Tikyra and Ava Jackson, in addition to co-founder and guitarist Ori Naftaly. They’ve toured with Sheryl Crow, Los Lobos, The Revivalists and Tedeschi Vans Band.
In 2019, their debut album, Hold On, earned a Grammy Award nomination for greatest modern blues album.
At this time, Southern Avenue joins us for a mini-concert recorded in Philadelphia, enjoying songs from their new album, Household.
